Those monthly comparisons to previous years are fascinating.  Although had a warmish April, it was still colder up here than elsewhere...

What about that -1 in 2013!  Was that the year all the lemon trees were devastated?

Not sure but I thought t as earlier than that.  I'll check it out tomorrow as I can go back over my diary for that year.  I have had several minus temps and certainly lower than minus 1.  In fact I think minus 1 is positively balmy for here in winter just maybe not in April....

Partaloa seems to have the least rain, we always seem to be on the edge of it.  Often when there is rain around if you drive a couple of kilometres down the road you are into it but it often misses our little area completely.  Often there is rain in Piedra Amarillo which is part of Partaloa's municipality but here in Retamar and in the village there is none.

I watch it coming down the valley from Baza direction and it seems to split when it is about to reach me.  It rains both behind my village and on the other side of the valley but often I am still in sunshine.  The rain here seems to be so localised but then so is the weather in general, which is why I am so fascinated by it....

Heard thunder here in Partaloa, sky dark to the north, was north west earlier so moving around now - think it might miss us again!

I found 2ml in my rain gauge this morning so still needed to water.  I didn't hear any thunder, although it felt very heavy and humid.
