6k any Way challenge Update

So much has been happening that we haven’t had time to update you.  It is all on Facebook almost as it happens.
The following have completed their challenge.  Mick and Jane Thomas have completed their 6k walk in stages, Angela and Phil Kendal did theirs in one go in their local rambla.  Melanie Rayner ran the walk for life 6k route and Stuart Copeland walked it. Nigel Bradder did 12k on his Elliptogo and will do it again if someone will accompany him on a bike. 84 year old Jean Bye did a 3k walk very early in the morning to avoid the heat and Anji and Craig Badley walked 20k.  Paul the Pool his wife Anna Bedford and their two daughters Imogen and Alannah did 6k a day over 6 days, doing the Walk for Life route on the last day. Trudy Sailes has completed 6 hours weeding – you really can do anything.

The following challenges are ongoing.  Claire Harper is swimming 6k every week for 6 weeks (that is equal to swimming from Arboleas to Villaricos), Judi Bedford-Keogh is swimming 6k in the month of June. Andrea Hollings and the Dawn Chorus Walkers are on their way to completing 600k between them. Carly Flitney is walking 6k every morning for 6 days and Jacqui and Rob Allen are running 6k three times a week in June.

Maria Walter is going to do 6k around Cerro Gordo and Alan Pearce, who has a knee injury, is going to do 2k each in the pool, walking and on his excercise bike.

Last but certainly not least is Carrie Ann Earl who is doing 6k a day on her treadmill on horseback – you must see the photos!
