Some people can't see some of the photos I post.  They are the photos I take from Facebook by copying image location/address.  Is there a reason why some can see them and others can't?

shelav

I can see them, could it be because they do not have Facebook accounts?

No problem to me.  I also have F/B

Wolfie

I'm on Facebook so that can't be the reason.

In order to investigate I'd need an example of which images are not displaying.  :dunno:

For instance:

  • Attachments uploaded to the server are only available to someone who is logged in, guests get a message that they aren't allowed to view them.

  • Images linked to an outside source via the {img}{/img} system (replace curly brackets with square ones) should be available to everyone.

Wolfie??

Wolfie

Yes, I can see them both.

Drax

OK Wolfie, sorry but there were three images,

  • A hair salon
  • snow on a palm tree
  • two cats
Which do you not see?

Wolfie

Only two came through - the snowy garden and the two cats.

Therefore the Facebook hosted image was not passed on to you... let me know if you need Mark's phone number

Actually there are ways and settings inside facebook that do not display images, similar to the way we can withhold images in a "normal" website. I don't particularly care much for facebook (or any other unsocial media), so sorry I can't advise where to look.
Why they would not display a facebook hosted image (do they call it "shared") is a bit of a mystery, I might make it a mission to explore this phenomenon when I have time

It is just me being lazy as it is so easy.  I'll stop doing it on here.  I am presuming you don't have a Facebook account Wolfie
