Olive Cream
« on: 06 Aug, 2019, 10:02:53 pm »
Earlier this year I suffered itchy dry flaking skin.  An acquaintance of mine who suffers from psoriasis and has spent a small fortune on creams and lotions was recommended the olive cream in a twin pack from Mercadona and it worked  for 2€.  It worked on her and in Mercadona one day she noticed a lady in front of her had 25 double packs in her trolley.  She asked this lady why so much, her reply was that her family in England swear by it for excema, stretch marks etc.  I have a long jagged scar down my arm when I got scratched by a dog 10 years ago and it stood out like a sore thumb when I had a tan, after applying this cream if is now fading.  The more you use the less you need.

Does it have a trade name? I found this image:

Is it what to look for or some other brand?

I tried it and the next day I was covered in a prickly heat rash which took about a week to go.  Wish I could use it as almost everyone who's tried it says how good it is.  Instead I buy expensive E45 lotion online.  I can't even use their cream either.

Frankie have you tried Diprobase, my other half swears by it.  You can't  buy in Spain, but we get from Chemist Direct.  If you are buying E45 from Amazon Spain it is costly.  It's cheaper from Chemist Direct.  I have a friend bringing me a supply of Diprobase tomorrow, if you like you can borrow one, if it's not suitable let me have it back, or if it suits you can replace it.

That's very kind of you, Roscoe, coincidentally, someone else has suggested this and she is bringing me the bottom of one to try.  I will know within 24 hours if I have an allergic reaction. I always used to buy E45 lotion from Chemist Direct but for some reason they are now saying they cannot deliver it to Spain, hence my ordering from Amazon.
Many thanks, though Roscoe

Yes, they were over the weekend as well but when I tried to add it to my basket, it said no deliveries to Spain but the cream was OK.  I cannot imagine why.
