My dad called me while I was on the train, but I couldn't hear anything because of all the noise.

2.  Mi abuela dijo que oía un sonido curioso y chirriante. Resulta que fue una ardilla que se había metido en la casa.

My grandmother said that she heard a funny, squeaky noise. It turns out that it was a squirrel that had got into the house.
