Town Hall Announcement

The Department of Tourism has requested a PATCUL grant to improve and restore access to the Torre de la Aljambra.

Albox will receive € 52,000 to enhance the Torre de la Aljambra and make it a heritage landmark for inland travel in Almería. We have received the visit of the Tourism Delegate Vicente García Egea who has accompanied the Councillors of Tourism, Virginia Sáez and of Pedanías, Ana Dolores to visit the current state of the Tower in situ and see the project first hand.

On the road from Albox towards Limaria, immediately opposite the T-junction which goes to La Aljambra.

Thank you Judi and Drax.  Sadly I couldn't see the photo on yours Judi but could see it on the Google map.
I did wonder if it was the one as you leave Albox towards Baza on the LHS.  It must be from the same period, I would have thought?  It seems as if Spain is only just slowly recognising the wealth of History which is crumbling due to neglect.
