Plants
« on: 12 May, 2019, 12:17:04 pm »
We had to have our Yuccas cut down to stumps as we had major work being done on the walls.  As it now looks bare we are  looking to put several  large colourful pots on the patios.  Can you recommend  plants that will withstand  the heat.  Shaded in the morning,  full sun for the rest of the day.

I have several pots with lantanas in, they flower all summer and I cut them back hard late in the year or sometimes early spring and they come back each.  They come in several different colours, I think they are part of the verbena family.

You are spoilt for choice - Gazanias, Geranium, the colours are amazing but they need to be sprayed against the Geranium Moth, Lilies etc. Check the markets for cheap plants...

Thanks for your replies, but thinking of green foliage in bright pots.  I have at the moment rubber plant and weeping figs in semi shade but looking for something which will be in full sun from 11am onwards.
