Albox Town Council will have to compensate Cespa with 1.3 million euros because of the cessation of the cleaning service concession contract in 2010
The City of Albox must pay the company, Cespa SA, almost 1.3 million euros for the benefits that it ceased to receive after the contract for the concession of the cleaning service of public buildings, roads and maintenance of parks and gardens was broken by the municipality in 2010, under the mandate of former socialist Mayor José García.
The High Court ruling indicates that, when the termination of the management or service concession contract is due to this reason, the contractor "has the right to compensation for damages that includes loss of earnings" and amounts to 1,289,979.85 euros.
