My worst nightmare

A couple walking their dogs and two Rotwielers from El Castillo were loose and attacked them.  The couple had to have stitches and one of their dogs, who tried to protect them, is seriously injured.

I do not know the outcome but people should not have these big aggressive dogs.  I certainly wouldn't go to the restaurant now but didn't anyway because the food aint great

I trust this was reported to Seprona?  A similar thing occurred up here a few years ago and the Spanish man whose dog had been attacked reported it.  The owner was taken to court and had to pay a very hefty fine and the biggest dog was destroyed.  The other dogs are now kept in a compound and the owners have insurance (which is compulsory for dogs over a certain size).
Seprona do take these things very seriously and will do in this case as the owners were also attacked.

I heard today (Paul the Pool) that the Guardia took the dogs away last week and the owners will be charged.  The dogs will be put down.  The attacked dog is very ill and unlikely to survive.  The Guardia also visited the "Zoo" in Los Carascos, not sure what they did but Marie Luisa was with them

This is so sad in so many ways,

Im a dog owner, my rescue is a very anxious dog so we walk her when its quiet and with a muzzle. I avoid people so she cant scare them sometimes she does bark and her buddy Rolo backs her up, I always tried to keep her contained so she can never hurt people although to her its alway offence more then defence.

Big dogs especially those who can be aggresive should have been leashed so they couldnt hurt those people and other dogs, but its still someones dog and if it were ours, part of our family.

And that poor dog my heart goes out to its owners and their injuries

Sad that an irresponsible owner now will have his dogs put down, but that could have been a child.

Which is why this sort of thing needs to be reported as it is taken so seriously.  The authorities cannot act unless they know about it.

Most mornings at the post boxes in Los Higuerales I see responsible dog owners walking with their little pooches on a lead. There is always one though ! This one often bumps into the responsible ones with his extremely large dogs “OFF” the leads, wandering wherever they want. The person in “control” of these large dogs is very large himself and has that stereotype look about him too, you know what I mean, the type you wouldn’t ask why he can have his own rules on dog control.

The law states that all dogs over a certain size must be on a lead and muzzled when outside.  Might be an idea to report this man. No one needs know who reported him.
