Yes, have to admit I would not have wanted it that bad!.  Maybe a night long gentle shower would be perfect...

And the car and some of my plants.  90 minutes of hail, torrential rain, felt we where in the middle of firecrackers party.   Horrendous.

It's amazing how localised the weather is here.  I remember when I told a man who had a garden near my rented house, when I arrived over 17 years ago in Partaloa, that I'd bought a house in Somontin.  He shook his head, sucked in his teeth and told me Somontin is Mucho Frio con Nieve.  I didn't believe him and do wish now I'd listened to him.  The very first winter was when I had a metre of snow, no electric and was cut off for 5 days, unable to get over the snow that the plough had dumped right in front of my car... I hadn't bargained on minus 10 when I moved here - I hadn't had that on the farm near Wivenhoe.
