Hard to find anyone who would make a good PM in any party as well as any party worth voting for, so sorry but UK seems up the creek without a paddle...

frankie

Probably why a party only formed 6 weeks ago has swept the board in the local elections.

Told you it was a nightmare. Trump upsets everyone on purpose, Boris the bumbler on the other hand does by accident. Feel like a nightcap Raymondo even though it's just gone 5pm in the afternoon, all is lost!  :headshake: :headshake:

AnnieM

I don't believe that Boris upsets people by accident.  He's educated and clever which makes him very dangerous.

frankie

I wonder if Boris will be meeting Trump on his visit to UK?  it would be interesting seeing 2 Alpha males squaring up to each other...

AnnieM

Trump has been heaping praise on Boris and Farage, so that's a brilliant recommendation for them both!  🤪🤪🤪

frankie

I doubt that will win either any more votes...  He did not seem to approve of Gove though, so not all bad....
I am so glad to see the 'Blimp' which flew over London on his last visit stayed to fly another day!

What would be the true cost of a UK/US trade deal? Read today that part of it could be privatisation of the NHS etc... no doubt that it will never be in the UK's favour!
I can't stand Trump and also will never understand how he became and still is President.  :dunno: :dunno:

frankie

I'v just heard on TV that the cost of this Trump + family, friends and other hangers-on will be 18million pounds :headshake: :headshake:

Jimmymac, he is still there as he is almost deified by the redneck populations in US and those are the ones he plays to.  I am F/B friends with several Americans and they are just as bemused by the fact he is still in office and will possibly win another term at the next elections as the rest of the World.

Costing Ireland 10 million  for 2 days to  visit his own Hotel.  Steel fencing for miles around to keep out the thousands of protesters.
Melania is coming with him.  She must have a white stick and a labrador to get involved with him but i guess money talks.
Maybe some of my Irish friends will bump him off.

Ireland were seemingly happy to pay around €18,000,000 to host the religious leader, of a much smaller country. The Vatican city.
There was not even any trade deals to be had there.

So Trump's visit, as leader of a country of 327 million, seems a bargain by comparison.

Mmmmn.  Francis was a leader of 1.2 billion catholics and was very welcome to a Ireland  a  catholic country so 327 million is just small change.
Francis is liked by the Irish whereas Trump is despised as a Racist  nasty piece of work.!!
The trade deal with the Vatican City is worth much much more than money Knowall.

The trade comes later.
JFK ,Obama, Reagan and even Bush were welcomed to Ireland  as its in the Irish make up to be welcoming but 90% of the Irish dont want Trump there.
Thats the Sermon for today folks.
