Particularly after what had happened the on other forum thought whoever had caused me problems there was starting again.
So may I inquire as to why I had the message I was banned.

I don't think there is a need to boot anyone, as explained last night your IP address is in the middle of a range (185.9.*.* -> 185.255.*.*) being used by spammers to register as members.
66 addresses were used and over 1,500 attempts from 185.220.*.* alone : you are on 185.120.*.*

5 members on here were affected but all are now "whitelisted". We are sorry that for a short time you had no access whilst the problem was detected and resolved.

Thanks for explanation SuperUser. Obviously some bored idiot tried but failed to disrupt the site because you outed them.
Just reread post by Roscoe . When he mentioned "super user on it" didn't realise he meant that someone of that name was sorting it.    Thought he was writing about the perpetrator......thus my comment.
